I've just upgraded to a Sugo SFF which is quite nice - the cpu is passively cooled by Silverstones special heatsink, (uses the psu fan to cool) and I've got a 5850 installed in the matx pcie slot. So far so good, but operating temps of the card at idle are around 45-50 and under load I'm looking at 70-75 so it would seem. Are these okay temps do you think?
I can't cool the gpu any better than I am - I have installed 2x80mm Nexus fans which are blowing cold air over the card and I've got another 80mm which is forcing air through the chassis and specifically over the hd. The problem is, I have partially blocked the fan on the 5850 by the X-fi card, which covers roughly half of the fan area. The only pci slot is right next to the pcie slot. There's not much I can do about that. There is plenty of circulation now, and within a few minutes the gpu idles to around 45-47 after some activity. But is this going to be sufficient or should I go back to the drawing board?
Edit: Just to add, the system is nice and stable, and very quiet
