O.k so last few overclocks messed up so jus wonderin if this shud be ok, im usin 4gb 800mhz geil ram (good for overclockin) n 780i mobo latest pheonix bios n a 9600gt graphics card so neways heres cpu-z screenshots n wonderin if this will be stable n any adjustments to make...

ye the reason that volts is so high is cos last time i oc'ed it i had low volts n ended with bluescreens... if i unlink the ram what overclock settings shud i use... temps arent an issue since case is reli cool... if drop to 1.3 n raise cpu to 3.8 n drop the ram a little shud be ok??

i upped the volts cos on previous with lower volts it bluescreened all the rest are on auto the ram setting all on auto with the ram jus overclocked to 900... my temps are all fine n i have been checkin um... cpu aint got above 40...

1.3 in bios vcore n im no good with timings i kno that lower u can use the better but thats bou it so i may need help with that... n memtest got no errors.. n wud 4ghz be stable?.. i kno it depends on wat i get wen it is 4ghz i will have check but are ther lots ppl at 4ghz 24/7??

so if i make it 1:1 with fsb at 4ghz wat timings shud i use??? n the thing i dont get is like on my bios it has qdr which to equal 4ghz wud need be set at 1800 right? but at 1:1 that calculates my ddr to ummm i forget bt sumfin crazy... why?? when surely 1800 is same as 445 clock which wud mean cpu is 445*9 = 4.05ghz n ram wud be 890mhz which i kno it can take cos pushed it higher.. confusing... i can edit it via system tools n it has the clocks on one tab n then the qdr on other so i dont get how they relate??
also my mcp is at 1.5V i jus noticed cos im using the nvidia system tools.. is that neccasary?? seems rather high..

ok triple post but heres wat ive done, i never noticed had sync mode in bios aswell.. n so i set it to sync mode insteda the 1:1 option n it sorted it out?? even tho sync is 1:1 which i dnt get so if neone cud explain?? does it simply do wat i sed in last post usin the clocks insted or sumfin cos i got no idea.. umm but yer its runnin which is good n will run sum tests... i need kno what timings shud use still... oh n the temps wen was in bios was cpu at 42 n mcp 46 case was abou 30/32 but bought the xclio 380+ which is on its way so they shud go down when that comes since has side 36cm fan a front 25cm fan a top 20cm fan n back 12cm exhaust fan which i will add.. n ima get water cooling as soon as can afford it i think... oh n my timings atm are 5 6 6 17 26

UPDATE: it like reset but i think it bluescreened jus didn reli show up more like flashed when i strained it.. possibilly cosa the ram? i dunno but took it bak down to 3.6 for now to stay safe till get this sorted =/

Sorry, will try to be as clear as possible, i got it set at 4.05ghz / 890 mhz ram (1:1) but i need to know what timings i should use or how i should go about testing which are best. I tried it with automatic timings and system started up but as soon as i tried stressing the system it restarted.. I had it at 1.325 V Core the rest of my voltages were on auto, my ram is at 1.81V should i also test raising that since thats the bottom end of advised V...

O.k i set the QDR to 1800 (4ghz) and the Core V to 1.325 and unlinked my ram and set it back to 800 and normaly 5-5-5-15 timings and then loaded up system and works fine, i ran real temp, when measuring load it hit max of 51* but since realtemp and every other cpu core temp reading program seems to read my temp around 12* lower than bios you can assume thats really 60-65... when i get new case should go down.. now should i try lowering the core V and redo these tests to see if it will still work or should i move on to RAM since the V isn't too bad..

ok ran for 5 hours and nothing messed up, max temps rose to 58/59 so got a lil hot tho since due to my temps readin probs that means CPU probably got to around 72/73 =O hopefully new case will drop that significantly... what should i do now?
