Currently running at 2.95Ghz with 1.35Vcore what are safe load temps, atm it idles at 40 degrees and at full load hits 65 degrees. What are the safe temps it can hit at load? (B3 stepping)

Probably talking 70-75c (overclocked) max to be on the safe side, though the cpu doesn't throttle till around 85c.

Near sure i think intel reccomended a max of 65c, dunno what brand of crack they were smoking when they came up with that number, especially for the stock cooler. For some odd reason i doubt the 2.66 versions of the quad would be able to stay at 65c loaded with the intel stock cooler.

Surly as long a the chip doesnt throttle it should be ok?

So load temps of 80c in theory shouldnt harm the chip as long as systems stable in orthos?

Mine doesnt get that hot, but im thinking of overclocking higher :D , im thinking 80c on load stable when my rooms toasty in the hot weather is maybe acceptable.
