hi guys.

was benchmarking again last night. and i noticed my vram temps reached 65c when doing valley bench @ 1120/1615.

does anyone know the safe temps for vram ?, because if i try and take it nay further on the memory, it freezes up which is telling me its getting too hot.

i have the XFX DD Black edition 7950.

also, my core temp reaches 65c/70c depending on the game or bench im doing/playing.

so basicly. what is the safe temps for core and vram on the 7950 ?

Thanks.

edit: also, what is the safe voltage for these chips ?
i have to have it on 1.225 when running @ 1220/1615 with vram @ 1600 (stock voltage).

65 on vram is safe. Its probably still safe at 80-85. Anything above 90 for long periods of time and I would get worried.

Memory probably freezes up because your not giving it enough power. Whats your memory voltage?

65-70 on core is fine. Above 80 I would get worried. Do you know what voltage the core is using?

Also running two the same card and your temps are fine. Playing BF4 Ultra and my max temp's are 65-68c VRM can only see on one card is about the same has my core.

ok, thanks :)

my memory voltage is @ 1600 which is 1.6v isnt it ?
my core voltage is @ 1200 (1.2v) at the minute, but when i bench it at 1220/1615 i have to up my voltages to 1225 on the core and 1625 on the memory.
