Safe temps for a QX6700 and some other questions

Hi there, decided last night to overclock my CPU and was just wondering what are safe temps for my chip. Even though I've been around these forums for a while this is probably my first proper overclock lol. I have done some reading about and read some conflicting info so thought I'd ask here to put my mind at ease! Lots of silly n00bish questions so prepare yourself ;)

I have a EVGA 680i motherboard and a Thermalright Ultra-120 CPU cooler. How long should I run the prime95 test to be 100% sure the system is fully stable? Currently the prime95 torture test has been running for a few hours now and the temps I'm getting are:

Core 1 - 72C
Core 2 - 71C
Core 3 - 69C
Core 4 - 69C

I was getting higher temps but have taken the old AS5 off and put it on again. I was also getting a large difference between Core 1 + 2 and Core 3 + 4. Was over 6C at one point and I think the AS5 wasn't properly over one part but now it seems closer but still got a slight feeling it still isn't 100% perfect. Do these temps seem a bit high? I've got a warmish room at the moment and these quad chips are meant to run a bit hot anyway I guess. I'm idling at around ~42C

I'm running the chip at 7x450 (3150). With an FSB of 450 am I putting my other hardware at risk? I've heard some run with an FSB of 500 and say it is ok but some seem to think 450 FSB could give data corruption on my hard drives. I'd much rather be on the safe side than have a great overclock tbh.

I've got 1.36V for the CPU core, 1.4V for "CPU FSB", nForce SPP is at 1.4V. Another question I'd like to ask is 1.36V ok for the CPU or a bit on the high side? Don't wanna ruin the CPU tbh, I've tried at a lower voltage but I keep getting an error after 20K test so have had to higher the voltage.

[edit]

FFS this was suppose to be in the overclocking section can a mod please move it, thanks

The quads are notoriously warm, especially with increased vcore,I'm currently trying to find a satisfactory overclock with a Q6600 on a P5K deluxe,I have managed 15hrs+ small FFTs at 3420mhz/1.425 vcore in bios.CLICK for temps@3420 1.425Vcore

Lost patience at the 15hr mark and tweaked further in an attempt to reach my target of 3.6,a lot more vcore required to keep small fft's from bombing out at this speed though.Temps are becoming a problem with increased vcore(1.55 in bios).CLICK

I'm using a temporary water setup at present,Laing D5,DTek Fusion,PA160.When I finally get around to installing system in my case I'll be using a PA120.3 rad and a more efficient pump so I'm confident I can significantly improve current 3600 temps.

Your temps do seem quite high considering your lowish vcore settings but you are using air cooling so understandable, tbh if you are looking for a significant overclock with a quad then a watercooling setup is almost compulsory.

Your temps aren't dangerously high so I wouldn't worry too much,do try and improve them though.

When I first tried my quad I was getting silly temps@100% cpu load, even at default vcore(80+),I later discovered the IHS was seriously concave, after lapping it flat, temps improved dramatically, check yours with a straight edge laid across the IHS and held up to a light source, you should be able to establish from this if you have an imperfect IHS surface,if you have then correcting it should have a huge effect.
