I have the i7 3820 in my first build with a H100 cooling it. I haven't done any overclocking or any of that yet, but I've been monitoring the temperatures of the CPU and motherboard since I got it to see if everything's ok. I'm not sure what optimal temps should be for this CPU though and can't find the info anywhere?
On idle, it's coming in around 31-33 degrees and the mobo at 29-31 degrees. When rendering something fairly significant in After Effects or Premiere Pro, it goes to 42 degrees (which is the highest I've ever seen it at).
Putting your hand over the top of the case where the h100 exhausts is usually fairly cool air, but at 42 during a render you could feel heat coming out there.
Is this normal / are my temps good or bad?

Cheers for that!
