Safe temps?

I am running my E6300 with a Noctua NH-U12F and just testing out a bit of overclocking atm. I have the CPU at 1.35v and the clock speed at 3Ghz with temps of:

Idle:
CPU 35C
Core 52C

Load:
CPU 50C
Core 64C

I would have thought the core temps would have been cooler with the Noctua heatsink or are these to be expected?

Those temps are pretty high. I would check to make sure you've seated the HSF properly. How's your case airflow?

Should be lower really, as said above try reseating the cooler. What orientation do you have it positioned at? Do you have good airflow in you're case?

Ill try reseating the HS as you say, the fan is pointing towards the back of the case atm and I think I have decent airflow, most of the cables are out of the way.

You've applied AS5 or some other Thermal compound properly I assume? The Noctua is a very effective HSF and temps should really be lower then that.

Is the fan the right way round that is mounted on the heatsink? the logo should be on the inside (against the heatsink) - Blowing onto it.

Woops, wish I'd known that. Atm I have air blowing away from the HS!

Just another quick question, does anyone know where I have to go in the BIOS to change the memory timings because atm they are running at 5-5-5-15 when they should be running at 4-4-4-15

In the main Bios screen press CTRL +F1, this opens the memory timings selection under the M.I.T tab.
