Safe temps?

People generally recommend CPUs to be under 80C or so, but is different for every model. I can't find much about the recommend temps on the internet :(

Don;t know if it's different for AMD but with intel they say max temps should be around 60 at stock and 75 at high overclock...

Those are the rules i abide by. :)

Just remember that the temps reported by software like coretemp and similar isnt the actually temp the cpu is running at if we are talking AMD and for example fx series. My fx-8350 is idling at 13 degrees which would be impossible because the ambient temp is more like 16-18 degrees.

If you want a better measuring stick i would recommend adding 10-15 degrees to what it tells you and go by that.

My i3 3220 hit around 67° last night during FurMark, never went any higher and was stable.

I think for CPU people tend to worry after 75°, same with GPU's, for any that is.
