Hey guys as title, I know usually cleaning out the temp folder is recommended to clean the system.....but just wondering if this also applies to server operating systems (SBS)

Is there anything I should be aware of? :)

if you want to be on the safe side, use cleanmgr (it's part of windows) to do it, the temp folder gets automatically cleaned anyway unless i'm mistaken

-i've run ccleaner on servers before with no adverse effects (althought I wouldn't run the regcleaner part of it..)

Anything that shouldnt be deleted (ie temp files currently in use) windows wont allow you to delete them until after a reboot anyway.

i wouldn't on a server.. (prefetch is the one i wouldn't use)

they're all harmless, they just reset the default views of folders etc (and save bugger all space..)

i'd use just the hotfix cleaner one

I have a batch file i made to clean out the temp files because my modelling software dumps files there.

As stated you can't delete files in use anyway.

Have a boss who used to store his personal stuff in temp, not anymore ;)
