Safe to disconnect northbridge fan?

That VIA chipset dosen't run too hot, should be safe yes, i think i got an Abit AV8 somewhere with what i think is the same chipset, though 939 and it dosen't have a fan as stock. If in doubt a slighter larger heatsink for it will work.
