evening all ,i just upgraded my reference evga 680 to 2x msi lightnings and now i'm out of options as to where to sell my card.Is ebay reliable ??

Ebay can be ok. If you have a fair bit of reputation it shouldnt be a problem. I have had a few half 'broken' cards that overheated/crashed until I reapplied thermal paste etc, which I think wasnt broken enough to get a return but was broken enough to make the seller want a new graphics card and offload this one.

Take a picture of the serial number sticker inc. its location and quality, maybe write your initials on a hidden part of the PCB and photograph that also, incase the buyer buys yours to replace his, but says yours broke in the post so you have to refund it, and sends back his old broken one with your stickers on it.

Gumtree seems to get less money than eBay, make sure you say youre willing to accept paypal and post the card on the gumtree ad. eBay has better schemes to get your money back if your a buyer.

I think you can change the settings so that no one without at least +1 feedback can bid on your item? It's not a big help, but I had mine set that way.

I have sold everything from my pc on ebay. Not had any problems yet! Must have been at least 10+ sales. They take a chunk out of your sale though, 10%?

make sure you take lots of photos of your product, if it has any kind of number on it to identify it, write it down / take a photo of that too.

take of photo of how it is being packaged too.

that way you have proof of the condition of the item when it left your hands, should you need it.

If you sell on eBay take photographs and note down serial numbers because a lot of people try and palm off their broken ones saying that yours is faulty.

Run utilities of the card working on screen and make snapshots or short movies, but yes take photos, mark the card, and you will be OK 99.9% of the time. I have sold plenty with no comebacks.

How much are you selling it for may I ask?

I have recently put my old 5770 on there and going to put my 6870 on there once I have a replacement card.
