Hi all, Having a bit of trouble keeping my Amd Phenom IIX4 Quad Core 955 Black stable at 3600 GHZ, just wanted to know what's a safe voltage to increse the Vcore to?

My 940 needed 1.425 for 3.6GHZ.

Same here ;)
for 3.7 stable i need 1.44 on vcore and 1.3 on cpu-nb
for 3.8 i need 1.5 on vcore and 1.35 on cpu-nb .Please can you fill in your signiture, it helps to help you if we know your specs/cpu cooler ect.

I could tell u to go 1.5v on cpu and u could be on stock cooling, you get me.

With my Phenom II 550, I think my BIOS had already been set to 1.42v with overclocking in mind by Gigabyte in the CMOS.

When you set System Voltage Control to 'AUTO' it sets the vlts to 1.42, despite 1.35vlts being the CPU's stock factory setting.

On 'Auto' 1.42 is the setting whether you run the CPU @3.1 stock or 3.8 o'ced.

i remember reading that 1.55V was the max before you start doing damage (that was according to amd). but i dont know if this only applied to the 940.

my 940 is 3.7 @ 1.42V
