I just bought a 19" CRT and was wondering what kind of setting to have it at.
At the moment i have the resolution set to 1600 by 1200 and a refresh rate of 85hz. My graphics card is a 7900GS.
Is that a good res for my eyes?

Personally I like 19" at 1152x864 or 1280x960. Things are a bit too small for me in 1600x1200.

85hz refresh isn't too bad though so as long as you aren't straining to read the size of the text it shouldn't be a problem.

I would use 1280*960 @ 85 Hz, or 1280*1024 @ 85 Hz if you don't mind using a 5:4 res on a 4:3 screen. The text is too small in 1600*1200 on a 19" CRT to be comfortable viewing IMO.

Thanks. Ill have a play about. I have to say that the picture is much better with my CRT over the TFT. Although my TFT wasnt top end.

But for £20 for a 19" CRT i could go wrong :).
