Ok premiership footballer crashes his car nothing new there, but the astonishing thing is somehow Saha of all people escaped injury

The Everton striker Louis Saha has escaped unharmed after crashing his Ferrari on a country road.

The 32-year-old Everton striker was driving his blue Ferrari 458 in Wilmslow, Cheshire, shortly before 9pm last night when he lost control of the car and collided with a fence. The Frenchman, who was alone in the vehicle, was unhurt and no other vehicles were involved.

The accident happened on the A538 Altrincham Road, near a tunnel where the former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo crashed his Ferrari in January 2009.

A spokeswoman for Cheshire police said: "At 8.54pm last night police were called to Altrincham Road, Wilmslow, to the report of a single vehicle road traffic collision. Officers attended the scene where a blue Ferrari 458 had collided with a fence outside the tunnel. The 32-year-old driver was uninjured. Inquiries are continuing."

Saha played in Everton's 2-0 home win over Sunderland at Goodison Park on Saturday. He signed for the Merseyside club in 2008 after four and a half years with Manchester United.

No surprise at all it's on the same stretch of road that Ronaldo crashed his car on, that whole area is a prime location for retards with high powered motors.

But yeah, slightly more of a shock that he escaped unhurt :p.

Nor do I. It doesn't say how fast he was going, I dont think anyone is going to be injured by crashing into a fence in a state of the art sports car at 20mph :p

Yeah but as someone who normally injures himself tripping over a blade of grass surely 20mph could have proved fatal

Saha and the rest of the usless everton squad had another car crash tonight! beaten by reading...

it's tough being a everton fan atm!

Beckford got held up in traffic, if he had started would have been a whole different game... ;)

Ths Sort of thing that you would expect at Sunday League level, what is it with players these days absolutely clueless

Apparently their was an accident on the motorway.

Everton need a Championship-level striker to beat a Championship team?

It would seem so. I didn't watch the game, no where had it on, all showing Man U, but by all accounts they were just poor, no urgency or anything once again. They should all be ashamed!
