Saints Row II on Windows 7

Hey ladies and gents,

Downloaded this as I hoped to play it, I had a clean install of Windows 7 Tuesday.

I've downloaded it, and Steam says it's 100%, however when I launch the game it goes to full screen (black) for a split second, then will crash and Windows tells me it's stopped responding ?

Anyone else had this problem?

I had a similar problem on Vista; I could get to the menu screen, but it would crash the instant I tried to start a game. It seems to have a serious problem with USB controllers on some machines; if you have one try unplugging it.
