Hello all,

My system spec:
Processor: Bulldozer FX-4 Quad Core 4100 3.60GHz
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L=M LX
RAM: 8GB Kingston Hyper X Ram
GPU: 1GB GeForce GTX 560TI -Asus

I have tried to run it on the setting and its still really laggy! offline and online. After looking at temperature using Speccy they seems to be normal,Window Task Manager to see how much memory and CPU usage i am using and once again both seems good. Cpu 75% Ram: 4.5GB

Anyone had this problem? and know how i could fix it?

Thank you!

You system shouldn't have an issue running the game. It's hardly resource intensive. Have you tried both Dx9 and Dx11 versions?

Thank you for your post! I have tried dx9 and dx11. dx9 ran a little more smoother than dx11 but still unplayable.

Regards

when was the last time you updated your drivers? update everything and try again. You shouldnt have a problem on that spec at all

I have check my graphic driver and its all update!! i though the same tbh thats why i wrote this post to see if its was only me!

update: i used the software called NVIDIA GeForce Experience and used the optimal setting part, still a little lag but much better! anything else i could try?

Does other games run ok? Have you tried going to windows update see if anything there needs updating? Have you tried removing the nvidia drivers and cleaning the left overs out properly with erm not sure what removes it completely these days but u can google that. Then do a fresh install of new nvidia drivers 320.xx or tbh the previous drivers 318.xx might be nicer.

If on steam have you tried checking the integrity of the files incase some are missing or corrupt which might (unlikely tho) fix somit? Or tried a uninstall of the game and a reinstall?

Erm not really sure what else i can suggest or talk about that could help tbh apart from things like if it was all games then check psu is strong enough to give the gpu enough power, is the pcie cable in correctly etc but im sure none of that is whats the issue.

Could try directx reinstall?

Antivirus disabled when gaming or added the game to exlusion list? Check task manager see if theres any processes on that shouldn't be? What does a new windows experiance test tell you of your system?

About power, is windows power set to high performance not power saver or balanced? windows/start/controlpanel/power

So erm yeah few random things to look at in this post, hope somit helps at least. Also maybe check your harddrive is ok by doing a bench test maybe, if you have a diff hard drive try installing the game there and see if any diff?

Hello :)

Other games i have played works fine :) on max setting most of them or high!

I have verify integrity of games chache

I have never had this problem before so i think my PSU is giving my GPU enough power.

I have try an re-install of directx

I am using Comodo and MSE, putting Comodo into gaming mode. dont know if thats right?

I have changed window power and still the same.

Its playing a lot better! but if i go outside its become a little laggy but much better than before, i have not had a go at the online yet but will test it tomorrow and let you know about it.

Oh erm you could try disabling aero when playing that as it could help i guess. Go to steam/steamapps/common/ur game, find saints r3 and right click on the exe in properties and its called "disable desktop composition". Make a shortcut on ur desktop of that exe as launching from steam might not trigger the change and hopefully with luck it might improve it somewhat at least. Also try not to have anything open when playing like a browser etc.

I had the same issue when I had a FX-4100 and a 6850, the CPU is just pure dog ****. What settings are you trying? Sounds to me like you're trying ultra/high which you couldn't achieve on those specs, drop them down to medium and stay away from DX11. I can't imagine that Nvidia and AMD play too well together either. I found it playable at medium, so give it a try.

Thank you all for your posts

i have done that in the properties and it has help a little, I have drop some of them last night from what the software changed but i will see if i can low them more.its not 4.5gb thats everything not just the game Smogsy.
