Saitek Eclipse 2 Illuminated Keyboard

I dont have one but my brother does, its quite a decent board for the price, however I find the keys are a bit 'tall', if that makes sense.

As for length of the cable, he has his about a meter or so from his case and doesnt seem to have any problems.

I can highly recommend it, it's one of the best built keyboards I've ever used.

It is USB and the length of the cable has never been a problem for me (I keep my pc under my desk and run the cable round the back under a stereo amp to the front of my desk). Even if it is a problem USB extension cables are easy to come by.

Yeah i have this board too, as i said in another thread its the best board i've used, loving the illumination too! Damn i didnt reasile it was that cheap... i bought mine for a shade over £40 from here a while back, still going strong and excellent for gaming.

well worth that price :)

I've had one for quite a while now. Apart from the brightness control on the keybaord being pretty usless (should have just been on/off really) i can't fault it, top marks for gaming in the dark :)

I've got one of the first versions of these keyboards and it is one of the best keyboards I have ever used! The keys are nice to type on and it isn't covered with pointless hotkeys.. Haven't used one of the newer ones but would think they are just as nice to use! :)

I got this board with my new build about 6 months ago and have to say it is one of the best keyboards i have used.

The keys are nice in terms of the amount of pressure needed to press them and the backlight is great for midnight gaming (can set according to mood:p).

Also thats a great price as it was £29.99 when i got it.

Yes nice keyboard the only problem for gaming i found was i use the cursor keys for movement and my old k/b had 3 rows of keys above the cursor this only has 2 but i got used to this.

Nice to type on

Its a nice keyboard, however I prefered the G11 better feel for me imho I know my local store that supplies pretty much all electronic components has them on display, my advice if you have time go find one and prat around on it for a minute or two...

Aero

i have this and the original saitek eclipse and they are both great keyboards. i like the keys and they suit my way of typing. id say the eclipse 1 is a bit more solid ... but really both are great keyboards.

I had the original Eclipse. Best keyboard I ever owned until I spilt coke all over it. Oops.
It felt really solid and the keys had a nice 'response' to them.
I'd quite like a new one but I like the LCD screen on my G15 too much :D

Good for me also. I did find that the HID compliant device entries in device manager were causing program conflicts so disabled them, it looks like it disabled the buttons which allow you to control the sound, no big worry though.
