Saitek Eclipse 2

Appreciate confirming which layout.
Yep, mainly play FPS games and have heard the problem about the keys been unresponsive, but like you said other haven't had the problem so i guess the only way for me to know is to try.
 
Half height enter = US layout, full height enter = UK layout, both my Eclipse 1's have no issues with responsiveness whatsoever.
 
I bought mine from OcUK a few weeks ago and it is the UK version with the large enter key except the artwork on mine is much nicer than the one in the pic, that's a very bad picture of it. Here is mine:

Now that looks Fantastic, i'll definitely be buyin one now. Also good to know that the large enter key is the uk layout, that was the only thing putting me off buyin one.
First thing in the morning i'll be ordering one.
 
Had mine for over a year now, can't think of a reason that i'd change it!

Nice simple KB, without all the media keys of most of its peers.
 
Does the Eclipse 2 have a standby or sleep key? this is the one additional key on my current keyboard that i couldnt live without.
 
i have this keyboard , It is very nice and good for gaming to. the difference u have noticed i believe is in imported keyboards. someone correct me if i am wrong
 
I bought one more or less as soon as they hit the UK - OcUK I think were the first to get them and I ordered one as soon as they appeared on the site.

I didn't buy it for the backlight, I wanted a keyboard that wasn't too firm, wasn't too soft and gave me a comfortable typing position - and it does all of those things extremely well.
I like the keyboard so much that for the past six months I've had another one sat in a box.
If ever this one stops working, gets damaged etc then I know I've got a spare one waiting.
Keyboards and the feel of them are extremely important to me.
 
i have both saitek eclipse 1 and 2 and both are great keyboards. id say the wrist rest on the 1st eclipse is a lot better than on the 2nd but i think they can be swapped but i havent tried yet. both great keyboards and have been through many hours of gaming with both. only problem with the eclipse 2 is that it does get very dusty around the keys. other than that its a great keyboard and very satisfying when typing.

It doesn't but I use the keyboard shortcut all the time which is Win Key, Right Arrow, Enter (press seperatly not all together).

I got one the other day, not too bad, nice and quiet when typing. The keys feel a little loose to me, not quite as good quality as it first seems. I have the Eclipse 1 as well which does not have this problem. The under lighting is uneven as well, my left arrow key is much brighter all the others. Like the media controls, dimmer is pointless really as you will want it as bright as possible or off. The Lilac colour is too gay for my gay friend. He made the comment!
 
You can also map Sleep to your own keyboard shortcut by creating a shortcut to:

%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState

and then assigning a shortcut key.
