Had a look at one at work and I must say I am tempted.

Only part of them that I am unsure of is the side media buttons, seem like a gimmic but only time will tell on that one.

Keyboard is very nice to type on though.

Are the actual characters on the keys backlit or is it only between the keys themselves? It seems they are but not sure if it's a trick of the light in the photo

They are on the Eclipse 2, so it would be a step backward if they arent on this one!

I have the Eclipse 2 now and the backlighting sucks! most of the keys don't get a lot of light and some do.

Think that's a stock photo of the keyboard.

It is the american style with the small return key.

It was confirmed in the other Eclipse III thread that it will have the full size UK style return key.

A bit OT, but does the Razer Tarantula have the big return key and are the characters on the keys backlit too? I'm dithering over what to get really

This is an excellent looking keyboard. My old microsoft beige number has had its day I think.
