I've had my Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard for about a year and a half now and just recently my spacebar has become problematic and plain doesn't work. I did follow this guide in the off chance that it'd help but everything appears fine inside the keyboard.

If I reset my PC or unplug & reconnect the USB connector occasionally the spacebar comes back to life briefly before dying again. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it fixable? Or is it time for me to get a new keyboard?

It's kind of annoying that my old dirt cheap keyboard that I donated to a friend is still working after all these years and yet a supposidly "good" keyboard that cost 6 times the price is knackered already.

I think you're in the boat for a new keyboard if you did everything that was in that guide then i cant think of what else could be wrong except for replacing the actual contact for that single key...

Okay well it seems that my saitek keyboard is not to blame as I found out an old PS/2 keyboard and exactly the same thing is happening. It seems I can use the spacebar fine in XP's Safemode and during the first few initial moments of XP being loaded but then it totally stops working. Anyone got any idea's on how to fix this?

It's blooming annoying to have to cut&paste spaces and then use a quick find and replace to be able write properly...
