saitek keyboard question

ahai,

Is there a big difference between the standard saitek and the eclipse 2 for the money difference.
These boards have good reviews

well....

i dont know the difference in the too as ive only used one of em.

but ive used the saitek eclipse 2 and im selling it due to the key sensitivity not being up to scratch. i dont think my keyboard is fualty, mabye im just fussy and dont press em hard enough.

However if you arnt fussy like me, it looks very nice, feels solid and very nice keys.

I have both and can say the Eclipse II is the better keyboard. While the 2nd one gives you a choise of three backlit colours, I stick with the blue. You get media control keys on the 2 where you only get volume on 1. The back light is fairly dim on both, but are ok in low lighting conditions. They both have a nice soft touch keys and are quiet to use. I simply prefer the look of the 2 over 1.

Although i dont use it, the Purple is the best in very low light or complete darkness. I tend to use red though, and overall the 2 is a very nice keyboard. As stated above the main differences are the choice of backlight colours and the media keys which are pretty handy.

i also have both and all the above is correct. and now the price is so low on overclockers ... no reason not to buy saitek eclipse 2

Apologies to bump this, but i am not impressed with my Eclipse 2 - a lot of the keys are VERY unresponsive. You have to hammer them to get them to register, which is rubbish. Asked for an RMA from OC, so I hope to god they honour it and send me a working one....

sorry to hear that man, i like the keyboard but i find the key spacing is a little wider than usual, took a bit of time to get used to

I really like this keyboard.

Sometimes how much you like your new keyboard depends on your previous keyboard

As my previous one was a generic keyboard I am really liking the Eclipse 2
