Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System users

Im thinking about getting 1 of these for racing games as I cant use the pedals on a racing wheel because Im disabled

So I would like to know if this would work well in racing games as I would like the pull and push on the wheel/yoke to be the brake and accelerator. Also can you use it without the other part plugged in?

I think you're better off getting a wheel with buttons on and mapping them to the accelerator/brake.

That would be no good as the buttons are digital, so are useless for using brake and accelerate with.

I can't imagine pushing/pulling on a steering wheel is going to be any better when you're trying to steer with it.

Years ago I had a kind of flight wheel, and I used push wheel in as accelerate and pull out as brake. That worked quite well and because the push and pull was analog it was like using the pedals.

Did anyone with a Saitek flight yoke ever try this, using the push/pull for gas and brakes? It would really save Phil the hassle of buying one if it's not possible. If it is possible, it would solve his problem and he could buy one.
