Just been having a sunday scoot about the internet and found this,
http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/ps2700v2.htm

Get three pads in one! The PS2700 Rumble Pad is fully compatible with three different platforms - Playstation 2 and 3 as well as PC. As well as the full complement of buttons and controls, the PS2700 features the innovative new Precision Aim button. Holding the Precision Aim button on the underside of the pad instantly cuts the sensitivity of the right analog stick, making it far easier to get your target in your sights and giving you an instant gameplay advantage.

As well as powerful rumble feedback, the PS2700 also features the revolutionary Cyborg™ module from our Cyborg range. At the press of a button, you can remove the revolutionary Cyborg™ module (Pat. Pending) from the pad and turn it through 180º, instantly changing the configuration of the left stick and d-pad. This gives you the flexibility to configure the pad for different games, depending on whether you prefer to use the analog stick or d-pad, or even cater for multiplayer sessions with friends who prefer different pad configurations.

* Slows down aiming speed at critical moments, making it easier to hit your enemies
* Ergonomic controls for maximum comfort during extended gaming sessions, no matter how big or small your hands.
* Advanced programming provided by Saitek Smart Technology (SST) software (PC only) gives you the freedom to program any part of the pad with any keyboard or mouse command in any game - even those that don’t support game controllers
* 2 quick-fire shoulder buttons
* 2 analog triggers
* 8-way d-pad
* 4 responsive buttons
* Start and Back buttons
* 2 analog joysticks (including buttons)
* Fully programmable
* PS Home button

There is also an older type reviewed by IGN , http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/816/816381p1.html

Even though it doesnt mention it, it also works with the PS3 so i have been told. This doesnt have the PS home button, and i think both dont have sixaxis control so for games that need it youre a bit stuffed, unless its remapable.

So for lovers of the 360 controller who have a PS3 this may be a solution, both joypads i have found for under £20. I dont know how good the triggers, buttons and sticks are though. As i dont like the 360 pad as much as the DS3 it would be pretty pointless exercise for me to try it but if i see it cheap i may it up as another controller and to give it a go.

They've managed to fail at the only thing i want on a PS3 pad - the analogue stick swapped with the Dpad!

DOH!!! Didnt you read ?:D
Using this Cyborg thinging you can swap the positions of the DPad and analogue stick. Ill even quote it again for you lol

Git, i thought i'd gotten away with it.

It's the position of the thumbsticks i can't stand on the DS3 :(

You'd think the saitek website would have made it more obvious that they could be swapped wouldn't you? It breifly mentions something about turning stuff 180 degrees but the description isn't exactly perfect and a lack of pictures = fail.

All i want is a DS3 with the analogue stick and d-pad swapped, the 360 pad is too big for my hands. The 2700 one looks like a DS3 i suppose, but it still looks a little big for my likings. It's also ugly as sin.

[EDIT] Lack of blutooth = also fail

I'm a greedy git that wants the full fat 360 joypad converted to work for PS3! Big hands you see! It will never happen but still. . . . . :(

Being able to swap them round though is a good start but it's not wireless!

Sorry, it's still early. I'll go find something else to moan about! :D

edit: duh, reading comprehension.

A quick search reveals a PS3500 (wireless) version coming out in January.

Might consider one of these (wired) as I have a usb hub on the table next to where I sit.

Even though the dualshock controller is good i still prefer the layout and feel of the 360 pad so i may have a look at getting one of these :) .
