was walking past an Octavia last night and noticed it has a boot which hinges at roof level, I'm currently looking at estates so we can put the dog in the back, but a saloon with that style of boot and the parcel shelf removed would do too (not a big dog!)
does anyone know other saloons with that type of boot opening - seems you can get a bit more for your money with a saloon than an estate...
cheers

Surely a saloon with a boot which hinges at the roof level is actually a hatchback in the first place?

This.
And this is a great feature and really well implemented.

It's clever, but what actual advantage does it bring over a simple tailgate design?

Doesn't that make a Supra a hatchback then.

Or a Ferrari F12?

Technically both are hatchbacks, albeit with coupe body styles.

I guess technically it is a hatch, but I would never have thought of an Octavia as a hatchback!

I would never have considered it anything else, it's certainly not a saloon.
