After enjoying Salt and Sanctuary, I treated myself to this on release.

It's excellent so far and has added a new mage hunting mechanic, which is extremely fun. You can farm the mages for specific crafting parts for a mini monster hunter type upgrade system.

I'm only 7 hours in but already hooked. I've gone with the samurai type character for my first build and crafted a fire uchikatana type weapon.

Loved the original but the mage hunt in this one is not for me. The problem is having to chase the mages around the map then not really knowing where you are afterwards. I was reading in some reviews that others feel the same way.

Fair enough, it is quite different from the original. If anyone is on the fence fightincowboy has some really good playthrough and starter guide videos on YouTube.

I enjoyed Deaths Gambit and even completed it. I've not heard of Vigil or Grime are they any good?
Vigil is a good game but it is very easy, although I played on normal so maybe the harder setting would be best. You can upgrade weapons and enchant them including armour. The map is huge and graphically I found it very nice to look at.

Grime is also very good, the parry system is unique as well.

If you enjoyed salt and sanctuary these 2 will fit right in.
