Anyone playing this? Picked it up last night and think its pretty good so far! Heavily inspired by the souls series and works very well in a 2D plain!

Worth a look if you like a challenge, its like darksouls mixed with metroid

It is very very heavily inspired by the souls games but it's a cracking game in its own right.

It certainly isn't as hard as the souls games in terms of the bosses, I have beaten most of them (about a dozen so far) within 2-3 tries, the first was actually the hardest. As you level up, you start to deal some serious damage, throw in a buff or two and you can drop most bosses in less than a minute.

Everything else is as good as you'd imagine a 2D souls games to be, definitely worth picking up :)

Just exploring has the same feel as souls, wdging further into the unknown, not sure if its the right way! I agree the first boss was tricky but i think its a good showcase of how to learn his moves and beat him! The second boss ive found is pretty cool too, bit crazier in design but i think i have the pattern down to beat it later!

Found the first 2 handed sword, thing is intense! Has massive reach, just doing a strength build at the moment to see what happens. Need to sort my stamina and equip load out as i want to fast roll with the 2 hander and decent armour!

Burnt through 4 bosses tonight! Some are a bit basic and barely bosses imo but the first 2 i came across offered a nice challenge! Can get confusing navigating a sort of open world sidescroller without a map, but doing ok! Has the same shortcut system that i loved with dark souls! Suddenly open a door and find yourself back in a familiar place!

The bosses get much easier even without grinding for levels. I've gone with a dagger build which is apparently one of the weakest but I just apply pitchfire before a boss then chug a health potion and just go toe to toe with them even with a no/light armor build.

Sometimes I might need an extra potion or two but rarely any more than that and the fights are done in less than a minute.

Awesome little game and one that ought to appeal to a wider audience because it isn't anything like as brutal as the actual Souls' games.

Could tell looking at the screenshots that this was going to be from The Dishwasher team. Loved that game so I'll definitely pick this up!
