I've basically got the newest version of samba running on suse 10. I've used winbind to hook the exisiting nt4 domain to samba, this seems to have worked fine e.g. wbinfo -u & wbinfo -g list all of the expected users and groups.

I need a way of editing share rights from within windows (e.g. right click then properties, security tab etc). At the moment its saying permission is denied even though i'm logged in as the domain administrator. What am i missing?

if your trying to edit share rights on a samba box from windows, then it's very easy using putty and ssh'ing to your samba and setting up permissions etc

cheers
