After many hours of googling and much head scratching I'm just about to give up on this one unless someone here has any bright ideas.

My laptop runs Archlinux and Gnome, all my music is stored on a Windows 7 machine because it's on 24/7 and feeds the Soundbridge in the kitchen via a shared folder (with Everyone access)

I can mount the Windows share in nautilus manually, I can add it to the fstab and mount it from the command line, I've added smbnetfs and can mount it by starting or restarting smbnetfs but I cannot get it to mount at boot.

The fstab line fails with a users mount error on boot (but works if I sudo mount -a), smbnetfs seems to do nothing on boot (but works if I stop and restart smbnetfs) I've tried adding sudo mount -a to /etc/rc.local but that doesn't work either.

Anyone got any ideas?
