Same RAM but Different Latency (Together)

Hi all

If you have four sticks of RAM, everything (brand, model, speed, size, voltage) the same, but the latencies are different, should they work okay?

As in:

2 X Latency - CAS 9-9-9-27

and

2 X Latency - CAS 10-10-10-32

And, if they should be okay, would you just leave the latencies or change them in the BIOS?

Cheers in advance.

I asked a similar question to this a while back as I have 2 x 4 GB of Ripjaws @9 9 9 24 1.5v and 2 x 2 GB Ripjaws @ 8 8 8 24 1.6v both @1600MHz but no replies.

They will go to the slower timings. You can however go into the BIOS and set it to the better timings, but whether the RAM with looser timings can cope with the tighter timings is another question. Should see no peformance difference between the two anyway.

Thanks for that. I feared nobody was going to have an opinion about it!

Best
