Could use some advice before i break something 
I have 2 x 1gb matched sticks of corsair ram in my pc at the moment with
5-5-5-12 timings and 1.9v
The other day i ordered another set but when it arrived it was slightly different although same make/brand/model etc but with timings of
5-5-5-18 1.9v
Before i noticed i installed it, cue successive beeps. So uninstalled it checked it over and noticed the difference. currently my ram timings are set to auto in the bios and wanted to know if i force my old ram to the new timings (i think the new ones are slower) will it work? if not and i try anyway will it damage anything?
