Same skins for each team on CS:S?

Hi there,

Sorry for noob question but ive just reinstalled CS:S after about 2 years so im a bit rusty, I remember there was a command that had to be inputted into the console that made each team look like it was wearing the same skin. Helps me as im colour blind. Could anyone tell me what it was?

I dont know much about cs:s, but i'd guess anything like that would be locked down with anti-cheats

cl_minmodels 1? All players on CT look the same, all players on T look the same

No it was an official command that you inputted into the console, I think it was in CS:S and not 1.6 and im not getting muddled up. It certainly wasnt a add on or cheat.

Very handy this one. For example, getting rid of the white T skin on a snowy map.

This seems to defeat the purpose of having the different skins really!

Maybe servers can disable it if they so wish?

Is there any way you can select the single skins to use? Using cl_minmodels 1.

No. It's the first in the list for each side afaik.

What about if I was to delete the other 6 skins out of my CS directory? Or would it just automatically download them again when I launched steam? Thanks for reply.

I think steam would download them as an "update" as they are default ones? Otherwise yes the serv probably would.

That is if you can find them. They are probably archived away somewhere.

cl_min_ct 1-4 and cl_min_t 1-4 will pick which skin it uses with minmodles 1 on.
