Are these supposed to play games, I have seen Youtube vids of them playing various games.
Reason I ask is I want to play some reflexive games on it, just time passers.
I bought this to save on abit of energy when I am surfing instead of turning my power hungry quad core/4870x2/24" rig on for browsing.
Very happy with it so far but would have thought it would play some reflexive stuff as videos have it playing WOW, COD, Serious sam etc.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but dont think so, went and got the 2 gig of ram straight away, installed all updates and DX9.
Was thinking of installing Windows 7 but thought I would have a little play with it first to see all is fine in XP

Well as the NC10 uses an x86 processor, the Atom, it's totally possible to play games on it that you would on a regular PC!

The choking point is the GPU. The Atom CPU is a quick little thing despite it's low heat output and size, and it's that which can "carry" you when the GPU struggles.

I think you should be fine with games like C&C upto and including RA2, Generals may be a little sluggish. For your FPS fill try Quake 3 or UT, they'll both work fine. WoW will be a bit choppy, and won't look great, but should still work "okay" with the settings turned down low.

Basically as long as you keep it's GPU performance in mind, go and experiment.

So why wont it play reflexive games, are other NC10s playing them OK, really need to get these working as they are great for travelling, dont really want other types of games got my main rig for that, just simple reflexive arcade ones.
