Bought 2 Samsung 19" SyncMaster 943n from OCuk to work with my pc that has dual monitor support. I have found that one of them doesn't work properly. Wanted to see if maybe something im doing is wrong, before i request a replacement.

I have swapped cords, plugs, monitors and evertime something else works, but the monitor doesnt. It flickers for the moment it receives a signal, then goes back to black (like no signal at all). It doesn't even show the menus built into the monitor. Any ideas what might be wrong?
 
It sounds like the monitor may be faulty if the menu's aren't showing. Best thing to probably do is ring OC Support. They helped me with a few problems and will point you in the right direction.
 
I was really hoping that wasn't the problem as it appears they aren't selling it anymore. I have noticed that if you listen really close that when you first turn it on or when you first give it a signal. The moment that it displays the signal it makes the humming of the screen, but then the screen goes off. Its very frustrating as I bet it's a really really minor glitch with something like the sleep settings or something on the monitor. Evetying it first receives any form of signal or is just turned on, for the split second, the display is perfect! FRUSTRATED!

no, its as if the screen is not receiving power. Even though I know it is, green light is on, I can switch it off and back on (i get the screen flicker for a split second).
