Hi, I'm moving my sony 1080p 49 incher to bedroom and buying a 4k 65 inch

Having gone into a couple of shops I am leaning towards the samsungs.

I like the single box for connections, small fibre optic wire, and flush wall mount solution with these and that would suit where I plan to install.

The salesman in one shop said the panel and engine for the Q8F and Q7F are exactly the same and that the main difference is a metal back to the 8F. Is that true? What else differs? It's quite a price difference if there is truth in that?

Does anyone have experience of this range? Is it worth the extra for the Q9F? Is the Q8F worth it over the Q7F? With the demos in store they all looked immense so hard to judge. The difference in price is £300 between each so approx £600 span.

It will be main TV in house, so gaming (currently xbox one and switch but will get one x), netflix, virgin and so on. I wouldn't say I am obsessive when it comes to picture but don't like obvious issues. Thanks for any input

OP buy an OLED far superior to any samsung LCD even the Q series from samsung. btw QLED is made up whereas OLED is an actual technology.

no an LG C8 OLED is

The reviews for Q9Fn seem pretty stellar and suggest they have addressed the issues from last year re QLED vs OLED? Isn't all tech jargon made up / marketing led to some degree? The LG seems great but I think that speaker bulge would be an eyesore on the wall and I don't even use TV speakers so would irritate me.

Thanks all for the input. It's caused me to do a bit more digging and I think the 9 is where I am headed not until mid-week though in case of any other input.

any reason why you picked this over the rest of the competition?

personally i think it's overpriced and the xf90 offers better VFM for similar PQ.

OLED offers better PQ for cheaper

Sorry missed this. I liked the picture when demoing it, I do have good experience with samsung so a bit of loyalty too, I liked the remote quality and functionality and the interface and liked the separate connections box and no gap mount which suited how i wanted to install it.
