Samsung 206BW buzzing noise

Hi all..I just bought one of the above monitors and have noticed after it being on for a short time a high pitched buzz/whine coming from the back..top left as you look at the screen. ..really annoying..any suggestions what this could be ?

Noticed the same thing on my Dell 2405FPW LCD lately, would also like to know as it is still under warranty (just about).

Just got the same buzz on my Hyundai w241d 24"

It only started last night and its very audible and can only be described as ringing in your ears

My 206bw is silent. Its something to do with dodgy voltage inverters.

Don't think its anything to worry about, they're not going to die, they just hum under load.

dodgy voltage inverters Minstadave? They might not die but could end up driving you mad... MAD, MAD I TELL YOU!

Not really acceptable I think; I just hope the TV, dishwasher, washing machine, radio, hifi and door bell don't start joining in...
Better give Dell a call on Monday...

They are really annoying, a lot of mobo's do it when under load. My GFs Motorola Razr has a really buzzy screen too.

Well, i usually just let the monitor go into standby every night, but last night i thought i would switch it of completely.

This morning ive turned it on and the noise seems to have disappeared

not sure if it will come back over time or not, but i will experiment over the next few days
