Samsung 215TW Gaming experiences?

Hi,

I have just ordered a Samsung 215TW; typically after I have ordered it I have just read a few reports about input lag.

Can anyone who has one of these monitors give me some feedback on there experiences with this monitor, particularly in FPS games?

Typically what kind of input lag do you get with an LCD monitors?
I already have a Hyundai L90D+ would the Samsungs input lag be much greater than my Hyundai's?

If you search the forum you will find commentary on this. I own a 215tw and have never experienced any "input Lag". I game 24/7.

I own the 215TW and I think it's a smashing screen and the extra inch really does make a diifference over the standerd 20inch w/s panels, I do have slight input lag but it's something you get used to after a while, most people don't notice tho b-cos they don't really understand what it is which is proberbly a good thing.

ROFL, I understand perfectly what it is, and I dont experience it. I find it objectionable that you would make a supposition like that. I've used my Sammy and I've used my mate's NEC. As a matter of fact I've played PRMM (BF2 Mod) on my mate's NEC for a few hours. Whatever "input lag" you can see and other's cannot or do not must be present in both monitors because I would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the 2 of them (Exception of glossy finish on NEC)

I would also like to know this ^^.

Just out of interest, I now live in Oz it seems we get a Zero defect Pixel waranty on our Samsung monitors here, but you don't in the UK.

One thing I really miss about from the UK is overclockers, how about opening up a branch over here.

IMO, I think having a zero pixel guaruntee cuts into the margins of OcUK which is why it doesn't exist. With such low costs, if they had to replace several monitors because of dead pixels it would probably be a hassle and a dent in the profits.

I guess the only zero dead pixel guaruntee's you have here, are only with the monitors where the manufacturers guaruntee against dead pixels.

We are unlucky in the sence we don't get covered for dead pixels, but afaik, if there are more than several dead pixels, they may accomodate replacing the monitor.

Thats certainly been my experience. My 213T had 2 dead pixels (near the left edge about an inch in and near the bottom, by the system tray). Samsung replaced (next day I might add) without quibbles. A little woman drove out in a van and just swapped it out for a brand spanker.
