Samsung 2494hm button issues

Just got a samsung2494hm and the power button needs to be pressed hard in order for it to work.

Called up samsung and they say that the monitor controls only need to be slightly brushed or touched gently with the tip of your finger. I was wondering if anyone who also has a 2494hm could tell me how well there controls work and if they are in fact touch sensitive.

I plan on sending this monitor back because two people in my house have trouble turning the monitor off and on, and if the button is working badly now I have a bad feeling they will probably die altogether shortly.

Any feedback appreciated, Thanks

I got the monitor a couple of days ago to replace one of my 22" Samsung (2253BW).

I have been very very happy about it, the only 'negative' would be it's 1080 vice 1200.

Anyway, the power button you mention should be touch sensitive. I take my finger and as soon as I make contact the monitor will turn on/off. Same for other controls. No 'pressure' is necessary.
