Hi need some help just go myself a 24inch samsung lcd monitor but cannot find the right resolution.

I have a ati hd 6800 graphics card aswell im currently using 1920x1080 the colour looks great but everything is small.

When i use 800x600 the size is perfect but the colour looks crap

any suggestions please

I assume you're using a HDMI connection?

Keep the resolution at 1920x1080 and go into the Catalyst Control Centre and set the overscan option to zero.

thanks for your reply where do i find the overscan option in the catalust centre and yes using hdmi connection

I'm not at my own PC at the moment so can't tell you exactly where it is.

I'm sure if you look through the display options in the CCC you'll find it.

thanks but my ccc looks nothing like that

What driver version do you have installed?

Edit:

We'll get nowhere if you log in every few days, make a quick post, don't wait for a reply and then pop back a few days later.

Just install the latest WHQL 11.11 drivers and your CCC should look like the one I posted.

It isn't an HD 6800M you have on a laptop is it? If not, install the latest drivers as suggested and you should be fine.
