Hi guys, got my samsung 226BW a while back and have recently noticed it keeps moving the image around the screen, both virtically and horizontally

its quite distracting and can end up moving it so that the start bar is hardly visible on 1650x1050

to reset this the only way is to touch a control or turn the monitor on and off, then the image resets to its correct position on the screen

what could be causing this?

Thanks, fRostiE

Hey, had this prolem on the 206BW as well, bit of a curse basically what you need to do is

-> Press Menu
-> Set Brightness at Zero
-> Set Contrast at Zero
-> Go back to the main menu
-> Press and hold the "Source" button for a few seconds until a new OSD appears
-> Use the "up" button to change topic and the down button to change setting
-> Change the "Auto Auto" to off then turn off and on the monitor, problem solved, I think.

Good luck.

Sounds like a problem with the firmware on the A/D board. I guess what Antar is suggesting just resets everything back to factory defaults which could work, otherwise it may need a return to manufacturer so that they can reflash the firmware/replace the A/D board.

hope thats not the case,

i have done the above proceedures and turned auto auto to off, so will update on progress when i see / know / noticed anything

[EDIT]

No joy :( instead of going to the bottom left the monitor now moves the image towards the bottom right :(

well i bought it from here so i guess i get to see how good overclockers returns actually are, hopefully i wont have to spend 30 mins on the phone in a queue and have to convince the technical engineers on the other end of the phone that it is a samsung recognised fault

*sigh* :(:(:(:(
