Samsung - 2ms worth the extra cost?

I would choose the 5ms one as at the moment, there has been a big shipment of C Panel 2ms Samsungs about and some forums have said they are not all that cracked up to what they should be. The 5ms monitor should be an S Panel.

Even with gaming, 5ms will stil be good. :)

The 223bw I got had terrible viewing angles and a nasty blue tint (which tbh was easily corrected) so I think you can get a bad panel with either model, Its still pot luck :(

I can notice lots of ghosting on a 16ms screen. On a 8ms absolutely zero. For me, anything faster would be useless. But maybe some people can notice it, try to test a screen for yourself somewhere before purchasing.

Spinning around in Tomb Raider on the Samsung 22" Pebble was really smooth, certainly better than my 20" Philips -8ms afaik. I've played lots of FPS and hardly see trails, and for things like RTS no problems at all.

is ther really a diffrence in 5ms response to 2ms ? cos between these i can't find any other diffrence so is it worth the extra :

Al proberly be ordering this later on after i finish work so any advice would be great help.

Well i had a 226bw until recently and theres a setting to enable/disable the overdrive which i think was called RTA ? anyway..you could see the difference quite clearly between 2ms and 5ms which i think it was. Even on games like pro evo it was much nicer when RTA was on.

cheers guys...saved me £20,

i noticed there is a few with the same spec a lil cheaper to:
for example this LG is 2ms and cheaper again with same spec... or would u all agree on the samsung?

yeah sorry but face it ya get more attention at 'general hardware' xD

cheers

To be honest, there will not be much of a difference between the LG and the Samsung apart from the LG probably having better viewing angles.

Although I would go for the Samsung if it came with the model on the pic free :D

Choice is yours :)
