Hello,

I was wondering if someone who actually owns this laptop in UK (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/pc-peripherals/notebook-computers/ultra-portable/NP300U1A-A01UK) can asnwer a few questions.

According to the official website it comes with an Intel Pentium 967 running at 1.3Ghz. In some retailer websites they claim it comes with an Intel Pentium 957 running at 1.2Ghz.

In most youtube videos and in a few reviews (for its US version) the processor appears to be an Intel Core i3-2357 running at 1.3Ghz....

Could someone confirm which processor the UK version comes with?

And if possible also comment on how it rates in windows 7 experience index for CPU and graphics?

I got the samsung 300U instead of the Lenovo X121E. I was put off the X121e by the reports of terrible display , and I wanted distinct buttons on the bottom of the touch pad. The only nipples I want are my wifes.

I have come from a samsung NC-10.

I have tarted the beast up with the Crucial SSD c300 256 GB which I had in my NC10 , and I have replaced the 4GB Ram with single 8 GB ram . I have ordered a third party Battery (8850 maH instead of the crappy 4 cell unit)

I have found the change from my old trusted NC 10 to be a very good experience. The machine flies for my needs and the fan is quiet and hardly comes on with the SSD.

Replacement of the hard disk was easy enough as I was used to opening open up the NC-10s for upgrades.

I have had this a week and I just updated the bios , it now has SATA3 support which allows me to use the crucial c300 at its best. This is total suprise as I was only expecting SATA2 support

Windows Expience not checked before changes , but after changes
a) Processor 4.3
b)Memory (RAM) 7.1 (note with 8gb RAM)
c) Graphics (Desktop performance for windows aero) 4.5
d)Gaming Graphics (3d business and gaming graphics) 5.5
e) Disk data Transfer rate 7.9 (with old crucial c300 SSD)
