Samsung 4K Playback, s4du codec?

Hello,

A couple of friends have Samsung 4K TV's. I know the TV's can play .mkvs directly from a USB drive. Has anyone tried 4K content? I've done a little reading and it appears Samsung can play 4k content in the "s4du codec", has anyone tried this?

Samsung 4K TVs only support the S4UD codec for 4K (3840 x 2160) content. To convert MP4 contents to the S4DU codec Samsung has a free file conversion (S4UD-Maker) program that is attached to this article.

Tried to re-encode a 30min 4k file and it would apparently take ~13 hours, and that's with an i7!!! (gave up), something can't be right?
