I was just looking at this monitor, and OCUK only sell the 920n (the later model?).

But comparing them on the samsung website shows that the later one is 'not as good'.

913n
920n

The only difference that i can see is;
The 913 has 300 cd/m^2
The 920 has 250 cd/m^2

Does that make much difference?

Hmm I just bought a 920n, to run dual with my older 913n. I just went ahead and bought it because I assumed it was just a newer model with identical appearance.

I've got them both running now...

One thing ive noticed is that the newer monitor is a lot brighter than the other when I put them on the same settings. Is this because the older one is well... older?

they may well come with different OSD software, default settings etc. They use the same Samsung TN Film panel as far as i know, and you should be able to get them looking pretty much identical with a bit of fiddling with settings :)

yeah I tried that :S strange though, I cant seem to get them looking the same

I was looking at buying another 913N so I have two but overclockers only stock the 920N. After reading this thread I looked into the specs and I noticed that the 913N has a 700:1 contrast ratio where as the 920N is only 500:1.

Perhaps this is why they don't match up properly?

It has certainly put me off getting a 920N to go with my 913N.

I got the specs of a certain competitor, but on the overclockers product description it says that the 920N has a 700:1 ratio.. Strange.
