Samsung Ark 55" LS55BG970NUXXU or LG 45" UltraGear 45GR95QE-B

Hi,

I want a new monitor and I've been weighing up the Samsung Ark 55" LS55BG970NUXXU or LG 45" UltraGear 45GR95QE-B, the Samsung Ark is an absolutely behemoth and also seems to have some pretty nice built in speakers which is a benefit to me. The UltraGear 45GR95QE-B is pretty much new for this year where the Ark is a 2022 monitor where the UltraGear 45GR95QE-B is brand spanking new.

Any thoughts?

Wait for the new 49" Neo G9 or 57" variant would be my recommendation if you need one now I'd go with a higher resolution widescreen 5120x1440.

UltraGear 45GR95QE is great and has been in offer on the net for £799 recently. Not perfect but it is a good screen.

If you don't care to much about price there is an updated UltraGear 45GR95QE-B coming out in 2024, looks like all the specs are the same but i suspect that the panel is going to be using a newer W-OLED probably. Though i suspect the older model will be coming out with discounts to get rid of stock.
