Hi guys, I'm in the market for a new monitor, after spending the day weeding out the suspects I've settled on the Samsung BX2450.

I'm trying to find out two things about this monitor but I'm not having much success looking round the webs:

1. Does the monitor support HDCP?

2. The specs state it has 2 HDMI ports but the manual from their site refers to one of the ports to (HDMI In). Can someone confirm they both can be used as inputs i.e. 1 for 360 and 1 for PC? (not at the same time of course) May sound like a stupid question but I'd like to find out before I splash the cash.

If any current owners could answer these it would be most helpful.

I suppose if you've already made up your mind this doesn't matter - just today we've posted a review of the very similar but slightly smaller BX2350. The monitor features two HDMI ports with HDCP functionality - they are referred to as HDMI-in, as for PC purposes, they are. The monitor also comes with a "DVI out to HDMI in" cable.

I am also keeping my eyes on this monitor but unfortunately it seems to be out of my price preferance. I would like the monitor to get more cheaper but I am sure by that time more quality monitors will be out.

Thanks PCM I'll be ordering it tonight. I've seen your site very good!

I've been trying to find a monitor to suit all my needs, 2 digital inputs, 1 must be HDMI, LED backlit, 24 inch, height adjustable and VESA mounting points although it wasn't important. I couldn't find a monitor that ticked all those boxes so I had to settle with one that isn't height adjustable. The BX2450 is definatly a looker so I couldnt resist.

If you can stretch to the price WingZero its defiantly the best pick and the newer technology (although at the core its still a TN panel). As its only been out a month or 2 I can grab another one later on when I can afford it, alternative cheaper screens like the BenQ G2320HD have been out since January.

Playing Borderlands via the PS3 on the BX2450 as I type this. It's not the brightest monitor ever but it's very nice for playing games on.
