So apparently Freesync works on nvidia cards, so my options for monitors have just exploded which is nice.

Does anyone have this Monitor? How are the viewing angles, screen uniformity? blacklight bleeding? is HDR even usable with current drivers?

Not sure about the curved display but seems to be on most monitors now, so will need to try it I guess.

It's available on OCUK, although priced over £100 higher than some competitors, OCUK Tax I guess.

I have the 27 inch version pared with a 1080Ti. Next weeks Gysnc driver update will be interesting to see how Freesync works.
These screens have 8 lights sources (4 top and 4 bottom) to drive the sudo HDR (great in Destiny 2, but rubbish in most other titles I tired). You do see bleed from them but its fine in game and I am not bothered by it.
A lot of people complain about VA smearing with this panel, but I am not sensitive to that, so its not an issue.
Colour is great and no banding that I used to get with my old TN.
Let me know if you any other questions.

Thanks, 8 light sources seems a bit naff for HDR, sounds ok but I will do some more research before buying.

Are you aware of anything newer with similar specs for less or a better implementation of HDR?

I own one and generally like it very much.

Only real negative for me is the overdrive producing too much ghosting with Freesync enabled at lower frames.

Great colours and black levels though.

True HDR requires full array local diming (FALD) which you get with the Asus PG27UQ, but its costs a lot of money. To be honest, HDR its not worth it for PC gaming. You are be better served with XBOX and a Samsung 4K QLED with FALD HDR.
Have a look at CES 2019 that is on now to see if anyone is pushing more HDR on PC monitor. I think some stuff is coming up, but price is always going to be the issue!
