So this monitor is about 3 months old and I have noticed 2 weird black marks that are easily seen on white background but not so much on other colors. Definitely not in black backgrounds.
I doubt its a dead pixel, nor is it a scratch because surface is flat.

Pixel can have only one of three RGB elements faulty.
Obviously those won't show on black background, but only in light coloured background.

Further that and some other VA-panels have wonky half pixel structure and fault in such half could cause smaller black dot.

It's very likely at least partially dead pixel.
That's only thing which can cause such single pixel size flaws.

IPS and IIRC VA have dead pixels showing as black, in TN fauly pixels show as bright pixels.
