Samsung Cloud. Can anyone assist?

Hi Guys, (I doubt there are any girls. )

Can anyone help/explain?

So we have Samsung phones we use the Samsung cloud to back up, however as you have to set up two step verification. How does this work if you have your phone stolen for example? You wouldn`t be able to say go to your samsung account on your pc and access your data or transfer to a new phone as you would need the phone to do the two step verification?

Can someone possibly explain? Sorry if this doesnt make any sense.

I dont recall Samsung Cloud asking for a back up code, but doesnt that defeat point of two step verification between phone and say PC/tablet?

Their version of a cloud back up anyway is bizare, i have my phone set to auto back up text messages to the cloud, seen this morning despite the auto back up featture being on, last back up..............MAY 2020 RAGE (Disclaimer, yes its set to mobile data and wifi back ups)
