i have just bought a Samsung T240 from OCuk b-grade, and upon delivery, i discovered the reason why it was so cheap: the colour blue have a few variants messed up. eg, display a blue gradient will clearly show bright blue lines perpendicular (or parallel? the bits that have the same colour) to the gradient.

so i phoned Samsung, and their phone support is very good, got through to someone in no time, and they were very helpful, quick description of fault, Model No and SN are all that's needed for a courier to be arranged.

but my question is what about when the monitor reaches their factory? some company will not test it properly and will just return it. what are your experiences with Samsung??
do they test it properly? have you gotten any un-repaired products back? how fast will it be? (they say max 5 working days, i just want to make sure)

I thought OcUK B grade was still meant to be completly workable - just without trimmings and packaging. I would personally get onto OcUK and ask for a refund or swap.

i had an lg monitor that had a fault, i know tottaly different maker but what they did was send a replacement and not repair the old one, well i suppose they did eventually and then that would have gone to someone else, thats how they get a quick turnaround time

in the other thread about a B-grade Acer G24, the buyer posted that OCuk do not do swap with B-grade. and i don't want a refund (as cheapest i've seen for this lovely monitor is £270+, so would have saved £50 if i get it working from samsung), i want it repaired, so i contacted Samsung instead. well, they've agreed to come and collect it, so it's all good at the moment.

i just want them to fix it and send me back a repaired monitor, from the looks of joe-pineapples's experience, i think chances are good. let's hope they have a quick turnaround, as i've already sold my 22inch to my housemate, so i'll be stuck with his 17inch when this is being repaired. (no worry, it's exam period, hope it gets repaired after my exams :P i'll start playing on 26th)

once Samsung people got my monitor, how can i contact them to get them to hurry up the process? use the same customer service number?

you have 7 days to return it to ocUK if you're not happy, after those 7 days, its up to samsung to sort you out with a replacement. (you can of course just go straight to samsung if you want)

I've finally got Acer to pickup my monitor and repair it, although it took a week... and their phone support wasn't very good. They just told me to send it back to ocUK...

I recently returned a faulty camera to Samsung that was just within the end of the warranty.

No agro whatsoever. I phoned them, they sent me a pre-paid box to send it to them (with proof of purchase) and it was returned to me (working) around two weeks later.

I think I chased them after a week/10 days. All they could confirm was that they had received it but couldnt tell me when I could expect it back.

had some issues with samsung recently but head office resolved them for me . i can indeed state with monitors they are very fast on their turn arounds , but im a bit weary of their refurbished replacements as i had to arrange swaps 5 times

but returned products means i won't get such a good deal (if fully repaired)
