Is it really as good at clocking as is made out?

Was thinking of 2GB of the stuff with a DFI and Opty 165!

Is it worth trying rather than going for something more expensive?

Samsung is the ram in most corsair modules. From working in the industry a few years ago, Samsung RAM was certainly then regarded as the best you could get. I doubt that has changed much.

Depends on which Samsung RAM chips tbh. UCCC, TCCD, TCCC, TCC5 are all good. They make DDR3 that goes on to video cards too but their own sticks suck, only sticks which use their chips are good - usually.
